Problem Solved

Adam, after several years of philosophical training: "Can God make a rock so big that even He can't lift it?"

Jamie, after several months of teaching high school English: "Do you really think God is that stupid?"

It's in the mail...

Well, we did it...this morning I put our Crusade staff applications in the mail, and they should arrive just in time for the Saturday deadline. Getting something like that done is always a big relief, but there's still a good bit more waiting to do before we reach a point of decision. I'm excited to see what happens.

Big Changes

I'm excited and anxious this week...I'm about to start some pretty challenging temporary work with one of my favorite companies, and also a bit of substitute teaching. I have mixed feelings about both of those, but I am extremely happy to at least have some compensated work to do.

But I'm also excited this week, because Jamie and I are finally about to send off our staff applications for Campus Crusade; that'll be a huge monkey off the back. We're not sure if we'll be accepted, nor are we absolutely sure that we'll take the position, but at the moment it seems like our favorite prospect. So, I'm excited...I can't even begin to tell you how blessed I was to be able to be a part of that ministry in college, and if I can contribute to someone else having the same experience...well, that'd be sweet.

More later. If you feel like praying for us, please do.

Months after the request was made...

I've been to North Dakota more than usual over the last few months, and I think every time I've been up there it's been suggested that I start a blog. Those of you who have suggested this know already how horrible I am about emailing regularly, and I strongly suspect that my blog activity will have the same failing. Nonetheless, I really want to keep in touch better, and maybe this is how to do it. So, for friends and family the whole country over, this post shall serve as my announcement of greater things to come. Or something like that...anyway, good-bye for now.
